Diablo 3: Screenshots From The Early Stages

Kotaku has posted around 20 or so screenshots showcasing the early stages of Diablo 3 developed at Blizzard North from 2000-2005. Kotaku hasn’t mentioned where they got the images from but who cares since they look pretty amazing.
The level artwork and dungeon design is just sweet. The HUD could use a bit of work and since it’s just a rough draft we can expect it to be pimped up.
Back in 2005 an ex-Blizzard employee Chris Hartgraves reported that Diablo III was set largely in the High Heavens. The screenshots seem to be taken just there with Tyrael and another archangel in some of the shots. I personally would gladly accept this version for playing. Diablo 3 has been on hold for a long time.
