Supposedly it’s going to be the best fighting game that will launch this year. The roster is huge and includes many of many playable characters from both sides. Capcom also announced that the inFamous protagonist, Cole McGrath would be joining the roster as well as an exclusive pick on the PS3 and Vita.
This had the Xbox 360 fans wondering what their exclusive character would be in game. Unfortunately it’s Mortal Kombat all over again. According to Capcom talks of including Marcus Fenix or Master Chief were there in the start but now the deal is off. Xbox 360 players get nothing on their version.
This was confirmed by the game’s producer Yoshinori Ono:
We do have the exclusive characters for the Sony platform. We have Cole, the two Sony cats, Kuro and Toro. But basically for the Xbox 360, we were in discussions with them (Microsoft) for which character to put in as an exclusive, but we weren’t able to decide on a character because of differences in timing and things like that. So unfortunately for Street Fighter X Tekken, only the PlayStation family will be getting the exclusive characters, but it’s something we wish could have happened. It’s just too bad, basically.
Street Fighter X Tekken launches on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on March 6th.
