  • Guild Wars 2 has ended up on a lot of Most Anticipated Games of 2012 lists. I won’t lie that I had my hopes up last year that perhaps ArenaNet would surprise us by launching the game in December. A post on ArenaNet’s blog by President Mike O’Brien has confirmed the game for a 2012 release. Press invites for the game will be sent next month. Majority of fans who couldn’t get into the closed beta will get a chance to play the game when the open beta starts later this April. Capcom also announced that the inFamous protagonist, Cole McGrath would be joining the roster as well as an exclusive pick on the PS3 and Vita. This had the Xbox 360 fans wondering what their exclusive character would be in game. Unfortunately it’s Mortal Kombat all over again.
