During an interview with GamesIndustry he said: We have loads of things which we’re still noodling which we haven’t touched in years and years and years. We really still think there’s value in trying some stuff with them. Obviously we’re heavily reliant right now on a narrower range of core brands. We’re looking at ways to not over-saturate the market with them.I think that care has to be taken to avoid brand fatigue. Not to name names, I think some people are better or worse at that. We have some concerns internally about, are we doing too much of something? You may see some other stuff, which we we’ve been quite... -

We are doing that now. They had better watch out. We are coming for them. Infinityward is already out of the CoD franchise. Battlefield 3: Dice Could Have Gone For 256 Players
Posted on March 11, 2011 | 1 CommentAccording to Dice’s CEO Patrick Soderlund, Battlefield 3 could easily have supported 256 players but they opted against it since that ruins the fun in playing. Talking to AtomicMPC he said: A lot of people ask us about 64 versus 128 or 256 players. Technically, we can go to 256, we’ve tried it. We play tested with 128. You’ve got to make a game that’s fun to play. And, arguably, we think that the most fun you can have is when it’s between 32 and 40 players. And we’ve done substantial research into this and tested 128 and that it’s not fun. Maybe we haven’t done our design work good enough, but we just feel like there’s no point in going higher than 64. -
